THEME: “Things You Will See at the Fair”

Contest sponsored by Babble Brook Farm of Laytonsville, MD

Rules:

1.      Entries are open to children, Kindergarten – Junior High

2.      Bikes can be 1, 2 or 3 wheels. (Training wheels are acceptable)

3.      Decorating can be completed at the fair or before arriving to the fair. 

      (Bring entry form to the Fair and all entries must be final by 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2008.)

4.      Decorating theme can include any department/or category in a department (i.e. Vegetables-Tomato; Electricity-Lamp).  Bikes can be decorated to any extent that clearly denotes the category or department. (Refer to Fair Catalog for ideas!)           

5.      Any medium may be used for decorating (i.e. paints, streamers, posters, signs, etc.) but must be part of the bike or attached to the bike.

6.      All bikes must be able to be ridden by the contest entrant.  No bikes will be provided.

7.      Judging will be based on creativity and originality.

8.      Awards will be given in the following categories:                                                                         

            Group 1  -  K – 1^st

            Group 2  - 2^nd – 3^rd

            Group 3  - 4^th – 5^th  

            Group 4 -  6^th – 8^th
