2023 PATRIOTIC POSTER CONTEST

The President of the Damascus Community Fair and the Commander of Damascus American Legion Post 171 are sponsoring a Patriotic Poster Contest as one of the Fair activities.

Awards

​

To facilitate fair and equitable consideration, contest entries will be separated into the following grade levels with the associated cash awards:

​

Grade K-1        $10

Grade 2-3        $15

Grade 4-5        $25

Grade 6-8        $50

​

The Community Fair Board will be responsible for provision of appropriate certificate documentation and ribbons.

Schedule

​

• Bring your Poster Entry to the Fair on Thursday, September 7th, between 4:00 and 8:00 pm.

• Judging will begin at 8:30 pm

• All entries will be on display during the Fair

• Ribbons, Special Awards and Posters MUST be retrieved between 4:00 and 6:00 pm on Sunday

Contest Requirements

​

• Open to all students in Damascus and the surrounding area

• Poster design is open choice of materials and media, but size specific

• Only size 14" by 22" will be accepted as a poster entry

• Artist's name, address, phone number, school and grade level just be listed on the reverse side of the poster

• Only one entry per person.  Work must be performed ONLY by the named individual on the poster
